Fifteen family members have sued an Austin lawyer and her firm, alleging she failed to hire a handwriting expert to show their deceased matriarch’s will was a “forgery” and they should have gotten more from the estate.

William Robertson, a Houston solo who represents the plaintiffs, said the matriarch spoke Spanish and could not speak English, “much less write it.” But the will was handwritten in English, he said.
