The 22-year judge of the 26th District Court has retired from the bench, but he’ll still be hanging around the Williamson County Courthouse.

Billy Ray Stubblefield will still have an office there—once his new space is ready—because he’s remaining as presiding judge of the state’s Third Administrative Judicial Region. He might still sit on a bench “from time to time” to help the 80 active judges within his 26-county region.
