He was on trial for felony barratry on Election Day, but Rep. Ron Reynolds, D-Missouri City, still won reelection by a landslide to the Texas House.

Reynolds earned 67 percent of the vote, compared with 33 percent to his Republican contender, David Hamilton. A total of 36,308 voters cast ballots in the election, according to the Texas secretary of state’s unofficial election night returns.
