Growing up in Odessa, Jamie Yarbrough played the euphonium for 16 years and was a junior high school band director near Fort Worth. Now he’s the top scorer on the Texas bar exam.
Yarbrough earned a score of 869 out of the maximum 1,000 on the July bar exam, which might make him the envy of new lawyers statewide. But being the top scorer has not gone to the head of the May 2014 University of Texas School of Law grad.
