Senior Judge Bert Richardson has denied Gov. Rick Perry's request to dismiss his felony case based upon a challenge to the special prosecutor's authority.
Among other things, Perry had argued in early October that District Attorney Pro Tem Michael McCrum didn't properly take or file his oath of office, which voided all of his actions—including securing Perry's indictment for abuse of official capacity and coercion of a public servant. McCrum denied all of the allegations.
