A Dallas-area family has filed two lawsuits against lawyers, law firms, injury clinics, an auto body shop and others, alleging that they’re part of “an intricate criminal and civil conspiracy” to solicit professional employment unlawfully. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into whether leaked car accident reports from the police department played a role in the alleged activities.
The Morales family—parents Miguel and Maria and children Hazel, Michelle and Brittney—sued attorneys Jay J. Murray and George A. Pelletier, the Murray Law Group and four other defendants in one lawsuit. In another lawsuit, the family targeted attorney Daniel Morris, The Morris Firm and six other defendants. The family claims that after the three Morales girls were in a car accident, the defendants conspired to violate state laws banning barratry, or the prohibited solicitation of professional employment.
