Not only did Dallas lawyer Raul H. Loya allegedly charge a client an inflated $29,000 for an economic damage report, it was for a report that was never used in her case. That’s according to a recent disciplinary petition filed against Loya by the State Bar of Texas.

The background to Commission for Lawyer Discipline v. Loya, which was filed on Dec. 11 in Dallas’ 101st District Court, is as follows, according to the original petition.
