A former court administrator sued Galveston County, alleging that the county judge fired her after she reported he “bugged” rooms where criminal defense attorneys met with inmate-clients.

Plaintiff Bonnie Quiroga also described a power struggle between the county’s trial judges and its commissioners court for control of her former position, director of justice administration, in which Quiroga performed functions for the trial judges in the county’s district courts, county courts-at-law and probate court.
