The last of three defendants accused of attempting to bribe U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks must face sentencing on Feb. 2 after a federal judge rejected the defendant’s unusual request to withdraw his guilty plea.
But Francisco Antonio Colorado Cessa filed a notice on Jan. 20 that he plans to appeal the ruling to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
