During the recent shale boom, Houston has been the epicenter of oil and gas deal-making. However, the recent plummet in petroleum prices has many lawyers concerned that this might mean a corresponding dip in work for Texas lawyers who specialize in mergers and acquisitions. Texas Lawyer questioned Glenn Pinkerton, an energy lawyer and merger specialist with Sidley Austin, about his predictions concerning the outlook for M&A activity in Texas in light of today’s low oil prices.
