Ricardo Prieto said his clients, two exotic dancers who alleged that they worked at Tiffany’s Cabaret for their former employer for three years without getting paid anything but tips for lap dances, welcomed a jury verdict issued last week that awarded them more than $120,000 in unpaid wages, misappropriated tips and house fees.

Prieto, an associate with Houston’s Shellist Lazarz Slobin, is preparing a motion to request attorney fees, authorized under the Fair Labor Standards Act, upon which his clients based their claim. Prieto estimates that he will ask for another quarter million dollars in attorney fees for his clients.
