It’s back to the drawing board for a bill meant to rein in property insurance litigation over hail damage.

Sen. Larry Taylor, R-Friendswood, told members of the Senate Business and Commerce Committee that he hopes Senate Bill 1628 will stop insurance adjusters and lawyers from improperly soliciting property owners to sue insurance companies. He said he also wanted to stop plaintiffs from naming innocent insurance adjusters and others in lawsuits. Insurers should be solely responsible, he said.
