At a recent energy symposium, the Texas railroad commissioner emphasized the importance of repealing oil and gas export bans if the United States wants to lead in global energy security.
“If we want to sustain the ‘Texas miracle’ and lead the way in global energy security, we have to be able to compete in the international market. Otherwise, we will continue to be subject to volatile OPEC prices,” Railroad Commissioner David Porter said at a recent Texas A&M University School of Law energy symposium.
