A research engineer who claimed that he was told to not speak Chinese lost his case on March 27. Qiang Wei, a principal arch engineer in the emissions division of Southwest Research Institute, was terminated. Wei sued for discrimination on the basis of his Asian race and national origin and for retaliation.
