As Central Texas counties are recovering from devastating Memorial Day floods, the State Bar of Texas has created a legal hotline to connect low-income flood victims to lawyers.
The hotline—800-504-7030—aims to help flood victims who qualify for assistance “with issues such as replacing lost documents, insurance questions, landlord-tenant issues and consumer protection issues such as price-gouging and avoiding contracting scams,” said a state bar press release.
