A spoliation battle has erupted between Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and a Florida couple in Dallas federal court. The subject of the dispute: a six-passenger golf cart.

In their complaint, the couple alleges that during their 2012 stay at the Jumby Bay Resort off the Coast of Antigua, which is managed by Rosewood, the wife sustained multiple injuries from an accident with the golf cart. The couple alleges specifically that a resort employee operated the golf cart at an unsafe speed, causing banquet tables that the vehicle was carrying to hit the wife and throw her to the ground. The fall left her with multiple injuries that required multiple surgeries and from which she continues to suffer, the couple alleges.
