It’s been a year since they won a $23 million jury verdict in an antitrust dispute involving cash, cows and a Koch brother. And time is moving painfully slow for Jim Reeder and his client as they await a federal judge’s ruling that will determine how much of that money they can expect to keep.

A Victoria federal jury rendered a defense verdict in favor of Reeder’s client HeatBrand Beef on May 29, 2014, rejecting a fraud claim brought against the Texas cattle company by Bear Ranch, a Colorado business owned by billionaire Bill Koch.
