Judge Gisela Triana of Austin will face a speeding charge instead of a driving while intoxicated case after tests showed that she was below the legal limit when arrested for alleged drunken driving this spring.
Triana, who presides over Travis County’s 200th District Court, had a blood alcohol level of 0.076, just below the limit of 0.08, said Travis County Attorney David Escamilla in a statement. There were no drugs in her system.
