Hidalgo County Criminal Bar to Test E-Filing First

Prosecutors and criminal defense lawyers in Hidalgo County will get the first crack at e-filing in criminal trial courts, thanks to a pilot program that kicks off on Sept. 1.

McAllen criminal defense solo Rey Merino said that he understands the need for criminal e-filing but that he expects some complaints.
