It used to be de rigueur for the very biggest Texas firms to deploy lawyer/lobbyists at the Texas Legislature for the session, but times have changed. Some of the biggest Texas firms have scaled back their lobbying practice, and some of the largest groups of lawyer/lobbyists work at regional firms or Texas offices of firms that do considerable lobbying in Washington, D.C.
