Texas court administrators and lawyers face a host of complex procedural questions in the wake of state lawmakers’ revisions to a law governing minors seeking abortions.
The lawmakers’ revisions specifically address a provision of the law that allows a small number of minors seeking abortions who have been threatened with physical or emotional abuse to request a judicial bypass to the state’s parental notification requirement.
