Can a county bar people from carrying concealed handguns into the district attorney’s office and other departments in the courthouse?

A rural DA recently asked for an answer from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, noting that the Texas Legislature recently passed Senate Bill 273 to prohibit governmental entities from posting signs barring concealed handguns on government premises. Violating the bill could bring a lawsuit by the AG’s office to collect a civil penalty.
