Sometimes it takes twice the work to get a judgment awarded, but it’s worth such redoubled efforts.
David Fettner certainly learned that lesson when a Houston state district judge issued on July 31 a final judgment awarding his client $3 million in damages and $154,000 in attorney fees. His client won that judgment only following two trials with the same defendants, owners of a gardening store. The first trial was to get the initial damages awarded; the second, to allege that the defendants had moved assets to another company to avoid paying that damages award.
