Indignant investors recently launched a securities class action lawsuit against Houston-based Plains All American Pipeline, alleging that the company duped them concerning its record of adhering to federal oil spill prevention laws.

Plaintiff Jacksonville Police and Fire Pension Fund and other members of the class brought the case against Plains and Plains GP Holdings, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in the wake of the May 19, 2015, spill that occurred after an onshore pipeline operated by Plains ruptured.
