An Austin solo faces a legal malpractice lawsuit for filing a client’s case nearly two years after the statute of limitations ran out. But the attorney, Frank B. Lyon, denies all of the allegations and claims the client is as fault.

“We have just begun our investigation of the case. It’s our policy to not comment on pending litigation, particularly this early, but we are proceeding to investigate and we will respond to the allegations at the appropriate time,” said Jeff Otto, a partner in Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons in Austin who represents Lyon. “We are going to defend it vigorously.”
