The Supreme Court of Texas issued an order requiring state juvenile court judges to tell youths whom they have certified to be tried in adult criminal courts that they may immediately appeal those rulings.
The Supreme Court’s order is effective starting Sept. 1. State lawmakers passed the law in their most recent session reforms.
