“The state of Texas recognizes the importance of its long term partnership with Mexico, which is why we must continue to expand our dialogue on issues such as border security, transportation and energy,” Governor Greg Abbott said during his recent visit to Mexico, which was his first international trip as governor.
Abbott met with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and other Mexican officials to discuss the economic relationship between Texas and Mexico, according to a press release from Abbott’s office.
