A three-federal judge panel in Texas rejected civil rights plaintiffs’ request for an interim temporary injunction. The ruling will allow redistricting maps that Texas lawmakers enacted in 2013 to apply for the 2016 U.S. congressional elections in Texas.
“The 2016 elections will proceed as scheduled, without interruption or delay,” the panel’s ruling, issued on Nov. 6, stated.
