Stephen Pezanosky led Haynes and Boone’s bankruptcy department through boom times and slowdowns. After almost five years of his department’s lawyer-roster shrinking, Pezanosky expects it will add as many as five new lawyers in 2016, including laterals. It will increase its total lawyer headcount to close to 30. But that figure remains still shy of its peak of 40 attorneys in 2010.

“We are at the point after a number of years of contraction within our practice of actually looking in the other direction,” Pezanosky said.
