This year companies were plagued with problems both very old and relatively new as they tried to minimize legal and compliance risks. Evergreen problems such as corporate corruption were front and center at certain companies. Others dealt with issues that are relatively new to the corporate world, such as cybersecurity and following laws around privacy and data sharing.

According to a forecast from EY’s Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services, several problems that percolated in 2015 will continue to fester in 2016. And for companies, forewarned will be forearmed.
