In a final judgment against a former client, Legge Farrow Kimmit McGrath & Brown won $65,000 in damages and $14,000 in attorney fees.

The Houston firm won the award Jan. 6 in the 109th District Court in Harris County. In a petition, the firm alleged that Joseph Larkin Sims, a former client, stopped paying his legal bills. In an underlying case, the firm had defended Sims against claims filed by former business associates.
