A Louisiana environmental group recently slammed Texas-based ExxonMobil with a federal lawsuit alleging that the oil giant has continuously disobeyed Clean Air Act requirements by allowing hazardous pollutants to be released from its Baton Rouge Chemical Plant.

The Louisiana Environmental Action Network, a nonprofit community corporation that is dedicated to dealing with environmental problems in Louisiana, recently filed its citizen enforcement case against Exxon d/b/a/ ExxonMobil Chemical Co. in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. Besides the network, Stephanie Anthony is also a plaintiff in the case. Anthony lives approximately ten miles from Exxon’s chemical plant.
