Both of Johnny Manziel’s criminal defense lawyers agreed: “He is going to plead not guilty,” Jim Darnell of El Paso said, echoing the sentiments of his local co-counsel Dallas lawyer Robert Hinton.

Both Hinton and Darnell represent Manziel, whom on April 26, a Dallas grand jury indicted, based on allegations of a misdemeanor assault ensuing from domestic violence. Read the official indictment here.
