A jury in a Harris County case recently found in favor of Exxon Mobil in a long-running dispute it has had with Fort Worth-based Trade Exploration Corp. and its principals, related to two earlier Louisiana lawsuits in which landowners sought damages from Exxon Mobil to remediate alleged environmental contamination. The Harris County lawsuit was filed by Exxon back in September 2009.
Exxon Mobile is seeking specific defense and indemnification pursuant to contractual agreements between itself and Trade Exploration and the other defendants in the case: Bryan Wagner, James Finley, and Duer Wagner III, also known as the Wagner Group, according to the plaintiff’s Fifth Amended Petition filed in the 189th District Court of Harris County on Dec. 15, 2015.
