Ex-lawyer Paul D. Andrews will be sentenced next week after pleading no contest in a murder plot, and the state will dismiss a barratry charge against him. Today, the state dismissed a barratry case against Andrews’ co-defendant, Corpus Christi and San Antonio solo practitioner Keith M. Gould.

Andrews allegedly offered to pay one of his clients to kill MaryAnn Uribe, a former employee of Andrews’ and Gould’s law firm who in 2011 sued the pair for civil barratry, filed a police report leading to their felony barratry indictments and filed attorney grievances.
