Baker Botts represents EQT Corp. in its pending acquisition of natural gas assets from Houston-based Statoil USA Onshore Properties for $407 million. Statoil turned to Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.

Pittsburgh-based EQT announced May 2 that its subsidiary EQT Production Co. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 62,500 acres in Wetzel, Tyler and Harrison counties in West Virginia in Marcellus Shale, and some current natural gas production.
