Only one week has passed since Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration about its directive on transgender people’s bathroom access in public schools, and now he is using that litigation to beat the drum for campaign contributions.
“It seems like each day President Obama tried to cram another liberal directive down our throats, overstepping his authority and violating the Constitution in the process,” wrote Paxton, who is combatting a criminal indictment, in a June 1 emailed plea for contributions.
