Joining a handful of other large Texas firms, Baker Botts will raise base salaries to $180,000 for U.S. based entry-level associates starting July 1.
Houston-based Baker Botts joins Vinson & Elkins and litigation firms Susman Godfrey and McKool Smith in raising associate compensation in the wake of Cravath, Swaine & Moore’s move to the $180,000 level effective July 1. V&E went to a $180,000 base for its U.S. associates, and McKool Smith moved to the same level. Susman Godfrey increased its starting associate base salary to $190,000.
