After nearly four decades at large Houston firms, trial lawyer James Edward “Jim” Maloney has started his own firm with the goal of trying “really fun” lawsuits.
“After 40 years of big-firm practice and all that involves, as wonderful as it was and as great as the firms were, I decided I needed a little more entertainment. I have no conflicts now. I’m free to do any pro bono projects if I wish and hopefully I’ll do some work with the ACLU,” said Maloney, who has done work for clients including T. Boone Pickens and Fortune 500 companies.
