An Austin, Texas, plaintiffs attorney doubled down on his allegations that Jim Harrington, a 43-year veteran civil rights lawyer, used a racist slur against him and should therefore be sanctioned, in a reply filed in Austin federal court this week.
Omar W. Rosales has alleged that Harrington referred to Rosales in an email as “El Sapo”—a term Rosales describes as derogatory and racist for characterizing pejoratively Mexican-Americans and other Latinos.
