A Mississippi federal court has seated the jury for what is expected to unfold as a lengthy criminal trial of Mikal Watts, a well-known San Antonio plaintiff lawyer, and six others. The jurors will consider allegations that the seven conspired to falsify claims against BP related to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

With the jury seated, the prosecution and the defense teams each delivered opening statements Wednesday.
