Sugar Land lawyer James Burnett and his former firm, Whitley LLP Attorneys at Law of Houston, have settled a fee dispute lawsuit with a final judgment that finds each side will take nothing from the other.

Burnett claimed in a 2015 lawsuit that his former firm owed him at least $96,231 for work billed to clients while he was at the firm, while the firm counterclaimed, alleging it actually overpaid him by either $80,724 or $219,099 and he needed to return the money.
