After almost 10 months as Godwin PC, the Dallas-based firm that trial lawyer Donald Godwin founded 36 years ago has changed its name to Godwin Bowman & Martinez.

The new name shareholders in the firm are Bruce Bowman Jr. and Jenny Martinez, who each worked closely with Godwin in the firm’s defense of Halliburton Co. in litigation related to the 2010 BP oil spill on the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico.
