When Kin Gill joined Austin-based Bazaarvoice in January 2013, he faced a baptism of fire during his early days with the company.
Just days before Gill began working at Bazaarvoice, the U.S. Department of Justice filed a civil antitrust suit against the company challenging its 2012 purchase of competitor PowerReviews for approximately $168 million. Gill said he knew before he took the job that the DOJ was investigating Bazaarvoice and likely would file the suit. But he may not have been fully prepared for what all the litigation entailed.
