Days after he won by representing himself an acquittal before federal jury of charges that he intentionally submitted phony names to recover damages from the 2010 BP Gulf of Mexico oil spill, Mikal Watts expressed relief and vindication.
But Watts, a San Antonio plaintiffs lawyer, also spoke to Texas Lawyer after his trial about a newfound self-consciousness about his legal career, which had previously focused exclusively on mass tort civil litigation.
