Young lawyers have a new compass to map their way into solo practices while opening up access to justice on the way.
Lawyers who attended Baylor University School of Law’s inaugural Legal Mapmaker clinic from Aug. 18 to 19 learned about setting up an office, managing their firm’s finances, avoiding malpractice complaints, handling clients and more. The project aims to teach law graduates to start law firms in a cost-effective way so they can charge affordable rates and serve clients with modest means.
