U.S. Department of Justice lawyers filed a motion this week alleging that, in court-ordered educational voter educational materials, Texas state officials have recast court language to communicate errantly a narrowing of opportunities for voters to cast regular ballots.

In their motion, the DOJ lawyers asked a Corpus Christi federal judge to enforce her previous order requiring Texas state officials to engage in voter education and poll worker training efforts to ensure that the public understands the prevailing voter identification rules for the November election.
