Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton greeted as welcome news the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to not rehear arguments against an injunction halting the Obama administration’s proposed immigration reforms.

The high court’s decision, announced Monday on the first day of the 2016 term, rebuffed a request from the White House to reconsider United States v. Texas, which was decided 4-4 in June.
