Darby Dickerson, dean of Texas Tech University School of Law, will leave her post in December to become the next dean of The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
The move is unconventional, as Dickerson is departing from a school ranked No. 129 by U.S. News & World Report for a school in U.S. News’ unranked second tier. Deans typically leave for jobs at higher-ranking law schools.
