Prominent Houston trial lawyer Tony Buzbee hasn’t yet tried to call President-elect Donald Trump to congratulate him, but he has told Texas Lawyer he doesn’t view the soon-to-be president-elect as bad news for plaintiffs’ lawyers.

In June, Buzbee hosted Trump in his home for a fundraiser that netted $2.5 million in pledges to GOP causes. Then in late October, Buzbee revoked his support for the then-candidate after Trump’s videotaped comments about groping women surfaced.
